I'm totally silly and love to laugh with friends and family. Life is way too short to take too seriously. I live to bring joy and excite the senses. I'm very sensual and express myself in very physical ways...hugs and kisses are the rule.

I've got a happy tune running through my head all the time and am always singing (either aloud or to myself). My idea of a good time is dinner and a concert afterwards...and after that???

I have an "artistic temperament" which is to say that I'm horribly neurotic, obsessing over things that haven't happened and getting annoyed at minor slights. I'd go get therapy or pills or something but I figure then it'd hurt my writing. An artist needs that pain and craziness. I'm not really much of an "artist" per se, though I like to think I'm better than average. You could go read my novel, "Where You Belong" to find out about that. I'd put a link in to the page on Amazon or my website, but they'd probably not let me put it in there, so whatever. If you can't find it by the title, type in "Frost Devereaux" into Google or on Amazon and you'll probably be able to find it. If you have a Kindle it's only a buck, which isn't a bad deal for a 520-page book.

Anyway, I'm rambling because they say you should have 500 words or something. I don't find these summaries very enlightening though. Everyone says they're fun and have a good sense of humor and blah blah blah. What else would they say? "I'm boring and a total buzzkill?" We all think we're the stars and not the bit players so we always end up lying to ourselves about these things. I probably am boring and a total buzzkill, unless I've got a few drinks in me and then I'll just get goofy. I haven't really drank much this year though, pretty much nothing since New Year's. Not like I have a drinking problem, just that it doesn't agree with my insides. I've had acid reflux problems in the past and drinking only aggravates that problem, so why take any chances?

I'm probably not any fun because my idea of a good time is I go to Panera Bread or Starbucks or somewhere like that and write, which is easier now that I have a spiffy new netbook. 8-9 hours of battery life without plugging in! That is sweet. I used to watch movies, but there hasn't been a decent movie all summer in mainstream theaters, so the heck with that. I'm not paying $10 for a dumb action movie or ridiculous horror movie. Come on, Hollywood, make some better movies!

I'm also not much fun because sex isn't a huge part of my life. I don't really care that much about it. I can always get myself off, so it's not really that pressing an issue if someone else is involved in that or not. So, really, if you want a booty call you can look somewhere else. I don't need that stuff to prove my manhood or anything silly like that. If you really want sex, just use your hand already and be done with it. There'd be a lot fewer diseases spread around that way.

Yeah, so I'm not that fun in bed or out of bed. Really all I want is to find someone who "gets" me and can cope with all my issues. That'll probably never happen. You know, because most people are shallow and only care about their own problems, which since I'm shallow doesn't really concern me either.

(Actually if you want some shorthand to know what I'd want, watch this "Being Erica" show on CBC. Neurotic writer with self-esteem issues. And a redhead to boot. The Jewish thing I could take or leave because I don't care about religion. I would be all over that. Seriously. I could only watch two episodes of that before I had to stop because it was just getting creepy. Now I can't even watch that channel out of fear I might see a preview for it. hey, i'm not crazy about profiles that have pictures of people posing with their dogs or cats. i don't know why. i guess it's literally a "pet peeve" of mine. so if you don't have one of those, that's good. i do like profiles that are well-written, edgy, quirky, unusual, creative, funny, & original. so if you have one of those, that's good.

it bothers me that "biweekly" means both "once every two weeks" & "twice a week." i mean, come on, which is it, make up your mind already. so we need a new word to cover one of those scenarios, in my opinion, to avoid embarrassing misunderstandings. someone suggested "semi-weekly" but upon consideration i find it to be equally vague & misleading.

I like cars. Fast ones. Ones with a manual transmission. Cars where I will run out courage before the car runs out of grip in a corner. An Audi R8 or an Aston Martin would do just fine. :-D

Love the outdoors. What better way to spend the afternoon than hiking into the backcountry and *trying* to get lost. You find the best views that way. Just don't forget the GPS for the trip back in or things can get.....interesting. If Im not hiking, ripping down a single track on a mountain bike is good. So is rock hopping or climbing. Though I sort of lack the technical know how to do much real climbing.

I'm into sports, but, more recreational than anything. Rollerblading and frisbee-golf are good. I'm even a halfway decent quarterback. I like to watch some sports on TV, but I'm not the guy screaming at the ref and throwing a bowl of chips at the TV. That's just a waste of chips. :P

I'm gay. Which, as some might say, doesn't quite seem to go with those first three things. Umm...what can I tell you? I am who I am and like what I like. Besides, it's fun to break all the stereotypes people have set in their minds.

Hmm... where to start? I have a variety of intrests and am open to new experiences. My favorite activities are traveling, photography, comedy clubs, hanging with friends and family, spending time on the lake, skiing in winter, music (almost all kinds), funny movies/shows, history, swimming, tennis, bike rides and eating good food (yum!). I'm not into playing games. At times, I can be very silly. I guess I'm still a kid at heart, which is one reason why I love hanging out with me nieces. I'm sarcastic, empathetic, caring and friendly. I have been single now for the past two years after a 15 year relationship. I have two wonderful, HAPPY children and would never say "no" in the future to more kids if the situation was right. But I am thankful everyday that I have healthy kids.

Ultimately I am looking for the fairytale romance, but not sure if it's out there. I want the kind of relationship that has the guy calling me just to say HI and wishing that I have a good day. I like to receive flowers "just because" he was thinking about me. I know this might asking too much of some people, but it's what I like. I'm a person who enjoys a few simple things in life. I enjoy sports a great deal and going out with friends. I find time spent out with people I like almost always ends up in having a good time and discussing interesting topics of which there are many for me.

I enjoy travel as well. I've been to a good amount of cities in America like NYC, Baltimore, Boston and New Orleans. But my most fun travel was the few weeks I spent in Spain and after graduating from UM, the 5 weeks I spent in Greece. As a history guy seeing those places was very awesome.

I am a big fan of the outdoors as well. I have a cottage up north and I like to go there in the summer to relax on the lake by boating and fishing amongst other things.

Moments matter to me. Whether it be something I can capture with my camera for someone else to look back on or a memory I'll use to get me through the rough patches of life, I don't want to miss any of them.
